Marcus Semien hit a two-run homer and Avisail Garcia added a solo shot as the White Sox edged the Blue Jays 3-2 in Chicago. Jose Quintana tossed seven-and-a-third innings of two-run ball while striking out eight to improve to 9-and-6. Addison Reed notched his 39th save as the Pale Hose won their second straight following a three-game slide.
The White Sox start a brief two-game series with the Indians tonight in Cleveland. The Tribe is in control of a Wild Card spot, but has a number of teams in contention behind them. Chicago sends Hector Santiago to the mound while Cleveland counters with Ubaldo Jimenez. First pitch is set for 6:05.
