Sidney Crosby and James Neal scored in the shootout as the Penguins came back to beat the Blackhawks 3-2 last night in Pittsburgh. Kris Letang scored twice in the third for the Pens to tie the game. Bryan Bickell had both of Chicago's goals in the second period. The Hawks wrap up the preseason slate at home on Saturday against the Capitals.
The Blackhawks continue to trim down the roster as the regular season approaches. Ten more cuts were made yesterday, which included assigning seven players to the AHL's Rockford IceHogs. The 'Hawks now have 36 players on the active roster, including 23 forwards, 10 defensemen and three goalies.
