Mattoon Police Make Two Arrests on Sunday

Mattoon Police arrested 20-year-old Dylan R. Benson, of Mattoon, Sunday Morning at 11:19 am. The arrest occurred in the 1100 block of Moultrie Avenue. Benson was charged with being a Fugitive from Justice. The charge alleges that Benson was wanted on a violation of probation warrant out of Indiana. Benson was taken to the Coles County Jail.

Mattoon Police arrested 31-year-old Jeffrey A. Mingus, of Mattoon, Sunday Night 7:10 pm. Mingus was charged with Possession of Cannabis. The charge alleges that Mingus was in possession of less than 30 grams of Cannabis. Mingus was unable to post bond and was transferred to the Coles County Jail.
