More and more business owners realize that “Green” is good for business. They also know the importance of watching the bottom line. The good news is that there are ways to reduce your business’s environmental impact without reducing your profit!
Executive Director of the Chamber Cindy White told WRJM News that the Charleston Chamber and the Illinois Green Business Association have partnered to offer an exciting new program to businesses of all sizes in the Charleston area.
An informational meeting will be held on Thursday Morning from 8 to 9 AM at the Charleston Chamber office, 501 Jackson Avenue. All area businesses, not-for-profit organizations and individuals are welcome to attend.
“Greening your Business with IGBA” will introduce representatives from IGBA and outline the programs and services that they offer. This is a special opportunity that is being offered to businesses in the Charleston area.
The two primary tracks that will be introduced are the “Connect-in Green” program and the more in-depth green certification process.

The IGBA is a not-for-profit organization that is committed to improving sustainable practices in Illinois businesses through education and engagement. They provide hands-on services and customized support to fit the unique culture and needs of each business.
