One Door County arrest so far in a multi-county internet sting operation targeting online predators looking for children.

50-year-old Frederick Fischer of Sturgeon Bay appeared in Door County Court yesterday and was released on a $1,000 signature bond. He’s forbidden to use the internet while the case is pending.

The criminal complaint against Fischer is not yet available, but he is expected to be charged with child enticement and use of a computer to facilitate a child sex crime. He is due back in court next Monday.

Door County Sheriff Terry Vogel says there may be more arrests in the ongoing investigation. As of Monday 16 people had been arrested by seven law enforcement agencies.
