Sep 24, 2013 7:02 AM

The Kinks' "Muswell Hillbillies" is getting a makeover.  NME.com says the revamped version will be expanded to a two-disc set featuring a number of previously unreleased tracks.  Fresh material includes a 1976 remix of the title track, an instrumental version and a 1976 remix of "20th Century Man," alternate takes of "Have A Cuppa Tea" and "Uncle Son," and the demo of "Nobody's Fool."  The collection also boasts four never-before released songs and three tracks recorded for the BBC.  "Muswell Hillbillies" was The Kinks' ninth album which originally hit stores in 1971.  The new, deluxe edition of "Muswell Hillbillies" is due in October.
