Sick Dad Charged With Murder In Daughter’s Death

A bed-ridden father from Chicago is accused of beating his little girl to death.  Andre Ford appeared in court last week, bound to a wheel-chair because of a debilitating condition.  His defense team argues there’s no way he could’ve had the strength to beat his daughter Gizelle, but prosecutors say he watched and may have even given orders as his mother beat the eight year-old girl.  Gizelle had cuts and bruises all over her body when paramedics found her in her home back in July, and authorities say maggots were coming out of a bloody wound on her forehead.  Ford and his mother are both charged with first-degree murder.
