Felony marijuana possession and bail jumping charges were filed Tuesday against a 50-year-old Sturgeon Bay man arrested Saturday as part of a sting operation aimed at catching online predators looking for children. Possible charges concerning child enticement and using a computer to facilitate a child sex crime have not yet been filed.

Frederick Fischer appeared in Door County Court Monday and was released on a signature bond. He is due back in court next Monday.

Door County Sheriff Terry Vogel says the multi-county sting operation investigation continues and more arrests are possible. As of Monday, 16 men had been arrested by seven law enforcement agencies in northeast Wisconsin.
