Beiser Supports School Security Law

There is a new law on the books in Illinois that aims to provide more security for schools. It creates a task force to study the security of schools in Illinois, make recommendations and draft minimum standards to provide a safer learning environment for students. State Representative Dan Beiser (D-Alton) supported the bill.

Beiser comments

The bill received bipartisan support in both the House and the Senate, and was signed into law by the governor. Beiser says in light of recent school tragedies, we must remain vigilant and continue to look for ways to better protect our schools.
