A 35-year-old Jamestown man is facing several charges including criminal possession of a weapon in the 2nd degree and criminal possession of a controlled substance in the third degree after police responded to a call about a domestic disturbance Tuesday afternoon on East 2nd Street in Jamestown. Jamestown Police say that Zaid Mendoza tried to flee the scene and had to be subdued by a taser device. Mendoza was found to be in possession of a .40 caliber pistol and several baggies of crack cocaine and cash. The pistol was found to have its serial number defaced and it is believed to be stolen according to police.
