150 new jobs are coming to the Quad Cities. Governor Pat Quinn was among those in attendance in East Moline on Tuesday as Material Control Systems executives they would be opening a new facility in East Moline. MatCon, as the company is known to most, which is headquartered in Port Byron, is quadrupling its workforce in the state of Illinois as the company continues to grow in the field of Logistics. The $10 million facility will break ground soon but no date has been set for the official opening. The expansion of MatCon was made possible with grants from the state of Illinois 'Advantage Illinois' which helps small businesses gain access to Federal grants.
