The Geneva Bark Park Planning Committee invites the public to Barktoberfest, Saturday, October 5, 9:30am-1:00PM, at the Geneva Lakefront. All activities will be centered at or near the Gazebo (near the new Visitors Center, currently under construction).
Barktoberfest is a fun event with several activities for the whole family including family canines and is the first major fundraiser for the new Geneva dog park. Barktoberfest includes: a fun run for kids, a 5K run, a K-9 & companion runner/walker5K, the Pup-kin Parade (Halloween canine costume parade and contest), food, vendors, a variety of family friendly activities all to benefit Geneva Bark Park. This is the first major fundraiser and friend-raiser for the Geneva Bark Park!

So far, vendors confirmed to participate include: Happy Tails, Second Chance Dog Rescue, Sheriff’s K-9 Unit, Beverly Shelter, WHWS radio, Invisible Fencing, Henna Tattoo (pawprints for the kids), Amazing Grace (face-painting), Ribilicious, El Morro’s, Wegmans, and Morgan’s Berries. Several other vendors are invited and expect to be confirmed.
If fundraising is successful, the Geneva Bark Park will be in the City of Geneva at the south end of Exchange, just past the Geneva Ice and Turf Arena, where the old wooden playground was recently taken down.
The Geneva Bark Park is being developed by volunteers organized by Irene Canario, the civic innovator, supported by the City of Geneva and is a project of Geneva Community Projects (GCP, a 501c3).
