The Wisconsin Department of Health and Human Services estimates more than 1,000 Door County residents and nearly 650 Kewaunee County residents will enroll in the federal Health Insurance Marketplace come January. More than 960 of them will have to enroll because they'll no longer be eligible for BadgerCare Plus.

In Wisconsin, Marketplace premiums are the 14th highest in the nation according to the federal Department of Health and Human Services. Marketplace enrollment begins next Tuesday at healthcare.gov.
