A 20-year-old Dunkirk woman has been issued appearance tickets for welfare fraud in the 4th degree, misuse of SNAP/Food Stamps, and offering a false instrument for filing in the 2nd degree. An investigation by the Chautauqua County Sheriff’s Office revealed that Yaneleen Morales allegedly failed to report the employment/income of a person that has been living with her and their common child to the Chautauqua County Department of Social Services. Morales allegedly received nearly $1500 in illegal benefits from June 1st 2012 through July 31st 2012. She is scheduled to appear in the City of Jamestown Court at a later date.
