DeWitt County Museum To Showcase CH Moore Homestead During Apple and Pork

TheDeWittCounty Museum gearing up for the 45th Annual Apple & Pork Festival this weekend.

The Festival supports the Museum and CH Moore Homestead each year. Joey Woolridge, Assistant Manager of the Museum, says people sometimes forget the Museum can be toured during Apple & Pork Weekend. Tours are self-guided which means visitors can set their own pace.

There will be tours guides in period costumes to give tours if visitors want more information. The Museum has room for volunteers if they would like to serve as tour guides during the weekend. Woolridge says those inside the Museum will stay out of any possible bad weather.

The 45th Annual Apple & Pork Festival takes place this Saturday and Sunday. Tune in to the Big 1520 AM/92.3 FM WHOW and 95.9 FM all this week and throughout the weekend as we preview and then bring live coverage from the event.
