Local student arrested for threatening schoolmate

A Benjamin Logan high school student was arrested after he allegedly threatened a female student at the school Wednesday morning around eleven o'clock.

The Logan County Sheriff's Office reports that Kenneth Styne, 17, of 9351 Township Road 190, Kenton, threatened to harm a 16-year-old girl.

Other students witnessed the incident, then contacted school administrators.

Deputies responded to the school and charged Styne with menacing. He was lodged in the Logan County JDC.

Styne was upset over comments made by the girl.

No one was injured.
