New Firewood Restrictions Up For Discussion

Tougher restrictions on bringing firewood into state parks may be coming.

The DNR will hold a public hearing next month on reducing the distance firewood can be carried from 25 miles to ten miles.

The goal is to slow the spread of the emerald ash borer, a beetle that kills trees.
