Local board member earns prestigious award

Anne ReamesBellefontaine City School Board Member Anne Reames is being recognized for her many years of service.

Reames will receive the Ohio School Boards Association’s Veteran Board Member Award during the association’s 58th Capital Conference at the Greater Columbus Convention Center on November 13th.

The Veteran Board Member Award is given to school board members in recognition of 25 years of service.

Of the more than 3,300 board members in Ohio, only five will receive the honor in 2013.

The Ohio School Boards Association leads the way to educational excellence by serving Ohio’s public school board members and the diverse districts they represent through superior service, unwavering advocacy, and creative solutions.

Reames is also the president of the Ohio Hi-Point Career Center Board of Education.
