Rock Island Police Investigating Thursday Afternoon Shooting

Rock Island Police are continuing to investigate a Thursday afternoon shooting in the 1400 block of 7th street. According to the Police a report of shots fired was called in just before 4:30. Upon arriving on the scene Rock Island Police and emergency responders found a man in an alley with a gunshot wound in the abdomen. The victim, whose name has not been released, was transported to a local hospital where his condition remains unknown.
