Typically movie playboys like the one portrayed by Joseph Gordon Levitt in Don Jon are forced into learning life lessons about family and marriage and all of the trite, tacky, predictable stuff of lifetime movies. Don Jon, thankfully, assuages such simpleminded ideas in favor of telling a story about a playboy with more on his mind. Co-written and directed by star Joseph Gordon Levitt, Don Jon is a smart, funny, sexy examination of just what drives a player like Don Jon and what he needs to find what he is looking for in another person. Scarlett Johansson has never been hotter and the supporting cast including Julianne Moore, Rob Brown and yes Tony Danza are a stellar group.
