Friday Morning Football Picks Week #5

Indian Lake will face Bellefontaine this week on 1390 WBLL. Everyone knew that this season would be a work in progress for Bellefontaine. The Chiefs are starting to turn the corner under first year head coach Toby Smith. Last week they rolled over rival Benjamin Logan as the offense never punted in a 52-6 victory. The Chiefs are 2-2 and face another rival this week at Dodd Stadium.

Indian Lake on the other hand needs to find a way to get things on track starting the season 1-3. This team had high expectations entering the season, but beatings by Triad, Kenton Ridge and Tipp City have put some question marks on the Lakers season. On paper the Lakers look good. On the field, so far, they've been plagued by turnovers, penalties and lack of big plays. If they want to keep their fading playoff hopes alive tonight is a must win at Bellefontaine.

The Lakers have won two straight in this series including a dramatic come from behind win last year in the fourth quarter on a sunny Saturday afternoon at Indian Lake.
