Chad RossMary Rutan Hospital has selected its next vice president of operations.

Chad Ross, a longtime local attorney, will join the hospital's leadership team next Tuesday.

Ross will serve as the compliance and privacy officer. He will also have involvement in overseeing managed care contracting and assume department responsibilities for pharmacy, respiratory care, sleep center, and laboratory services. Ross will replace Cheryl Brooks, who is retiring after 26 years of service to Mary Rutan Hospital.

“With Chad’s experience and expertise in compliance, legal, and contracting, I am pleased to have him as a part of our leadership team and welcome him to the Mary Rutan Hospital family,” said Mandy Goble, President and CEO of Mary Rutan Hospital. “As a seasoned attorney, with a great deal of experience on the healthcare side, I am certain Chad will add a great deal of merit to our team.”

“Chad’s departure from Thompson, Dunlap & Heydinger is bitter sweet. He will be missed here in the office but at the same time we are pleased that he is staying local and that we will have a continued opportunity to work with and support Chad in his new role with Mary Rutan Hospital,” said Robert MacDonald, partner at Thompson, Dunlap & Heydinger.

Ross earned a bachelor’s degree from Miami University, cum laude, with a double major in accounting and finance, and his law degree from Vanderbilt University School of Law.
