Deer are starting to be more active in Door and Kewaunee counties – especially at dawn and dusk – increasing the potential for vehicle versus deer accidents. David Pabst of the Department of Transportation has some advice.
Pabst says about 19,000 deer versus vehicle crashes were reported in Wisconsin last year. Those crashes were fatal for 14 drivers.
Deer are most active between now and the end of the hunting season in November.
