In High school football, last night:

Geneva stayed unbeaten with a 25 - 20 victory over East Rochester.

Auburn narrowly escaped defeat with 22-21 win over Proctor.

Newark improved its record to 4 and 0... decimating Midlakes 33-6.

Penn Yan came close to winning its first game, but lost a heartbreaker to Wayne Central...33 to 32.

Marcus Whitman captured its first win - beating Mynderse Academy 21 to 14.

Waterloo got its first win and handed Pal-Mac its fourth straight loss....25 to 20.

The Victor Blue Devils made it three in a row - mauling East Irondequoit Eastridge - 38 to 8.

Elsewhere...

It was Port Byron whipping Canistota 14-6.

Weedsport held off Notre Dame 43-42.
