Drought Is Expanding

The drought is expanding across more parts of Illinois.  The latest U.S. Drought Monitor shows conditions deteriorating, says State Climatologist Jim Angel, with a moderate to severe drought in much of Western and Central Illinois.

Angel says the rain we got over the weekend likely wasn't enough to make a significant dent in the drought.
