Trooper Timothy Sankoe was promoted to the rank of sergeant Friday by Colonel Paul Pride, Patrol superintendent, during a ceremony at the Patrol’s Academy in Columbus.
Sergeant Sankoe will transfer from his current assignment at the Columbus Metro Post to serve as an assistant post commander at the Marysville Post.
Sankoe began his Patrol career in February 2000 as a member of the 135th Academy Class. He earned his commission in September of that year and was assigned to the Medina Post, where he earned the Ace Award for excellence in auto larceny enforcement in 2003 and 2005 and the Criminal Patrol Award in 2005. In April 2012, he transferred to the Central Ohio Motorcycle Unit. Several months later, he transferred to his most recent assignment at the Columbus Metro Post.
The Marysville Post serves Logan and Union counties.
