EIU Panthers Beat EKU Colonels in Near Shutout

The EIU Panthers routed the Eastern Kentucky Colonels on Family Weekend Saturday at O'Brien Field with a near shutout score of 42-7. The Panthers started scoring early after a questionable beginning with a 30 yard touchdown pass to Keiondre Gober from Jimmy Garoppolo shattering the OVC record for most touchdowns. With Saturday's victory the Panthers move to 4 and 1 for the season 1 and 0 in conference play. Second seeded Eastern Kentucky falls to 0 and 1 in conference play.
