Animated "Meatballs" Sequel Tops Box Office

Moviegoers enjoyed another helping of the animated hit "Cloudy With a Chance of Meatballs" at theaters this weekend.  The sequel to the 2009 comedy cooked up 35-million-dollars in ticket sales to top other new movies at thebox office.   Coming in second place was last weekend's box office champ "Prisoners," which pulled in eleven million dollars this weekend.  The new Ron Howard race car drama "Rush" opened in third place with ten-point-three-million-dollars in box office receipts.  Rounding out the top five, is the new romantic comedy "Baggage Claim," starring Paula Patton and Taye Diggs, at number four, followed by the new Joseph Gordon-Levitt comedy "Don Jon" at number five. 

Here are the top ten films at the weekend box office:

3. "Rush" - $10.3 Million 
4.  "Baggage Claim" - $9.3 Million 
5.  "Don Jon" - $9 Million 
6.  "Insidious: Chapter 2" - $6.75 Million 
7.  "The Family" - $3.7 Million 
8.  "Instructions Not Included" - $3.38 Million 
9.  "We're The Millers" - $2.87 Million 
10.  "Lee Daniels' The Butler" - $2.4 Million
