Quinn Fight On Lawmaker Pay Still Not Over

GovernorQuinnsayshe’s still not taking his paycheck, even though a judge has ordered him to give lawmakers their money from August and September.

Governor Quinn says he disagrees with a judge’s decision to pay lawmakers before pension reform is done.

Governor Quinn says he’ll keep fighting to strip lawmakers of their pay until they come up with a pension deal, no matter what the legal fees are.

Quinn says he’s appealing the ruling and the decision to deny the stay on lawmakers’ salaries to a higher court. He says he won’t stop fighting until pension reform is complete, because it’s costing the taxpayers millions of dollars a day and putting a dark cloud over the state’s economy.
