The Brewers posted a winning record without All-Star left fielder Ryan Braun in the lineup in the final 65 games of the season. Their record was (33-32) in Braun’s absence. A much better winning percentage than the club had with Braun playing throughout the first two-thirds of the season.
Braun is signed through at least 2020, and the team is expecting a triumphant return to the ball club in the spring. Will Braun still be the Brewers' best player?
"I don't think there's a question," Brewers third baseman Aramis Ramirez said. "If you can play, you'll play," Ramirez said. "Obviously he made a mistake. He's going to have to prove he's good without it, but I think he's a good player. If you have talent, you're going to be a good player."
