Local driver arrested on drug charges

A local driver was arrested on multiple drug charges following a one-vehicle crash on State Route 117 south of State Route 273 Saturday night around 8:40.

The Marysville Post of the State Highway Patrol reports that Eric Pferman, 41, of 13939 Woll Drive, Lakeview, was driving a 2002 Jeep Grand Cherokee southbound on 117 when he went off the right side of the road and crashed.

Pferman, who was not injured, was charged with possession of heroin and possession of drug paraphernalia.

The accident remains under investigation.
