Former Brewers interim manager Dale Sveum was released of his duties as manager of the Chicago Cubs yesterday following a (66-96) season. The last team in the NL Central under achieved again despite neglecting the “win now” attitude.
The Cubs have been in rebuilding mode now for what seems like a decade, but the franchise reiterated Monday that they were not judging Sveum on his record but instead judged the manager on development of their young nucleus.
Sveum leaves the “loveable losers” with an overall record of (127-197) after his two seasons.
