Corn Harvest Well Behind 2012

Only five-percent of Iowa's corn crop this year has been harvested.  The U.S. Department of Agriculture's weekly crop progress report puts the pace two-weeks behind average and significantly behind last year's pace.  At this time in 2012, 53-percent of the crop was in the bin.  On average, Iowa farmers have 16-percent of the corn crop harvested by the end of September.
