Intoxicated parent charged at local school

A drunk parent was charged following an incident in the Benjamin Logan Middle School parking lot, 4626 County Road 26, Bellefontaine, Monday afternoon around five o'clock.

The Logan County Sheriff's Office reports that Noel Cayot, 42, of 2606 County Road 29, Bellefontaine, arrived at the school to pick up her daughter.

Initially, deputies responded to a possible intoxicated person in the parking lot.

While speaking with Cayot, deputies noticed signs of intoxication.

Cayot then failed a field sobriety test.

Her blood alcohol level was .236.

Authorities found an open container of beer in her vehicle.

Cayot was charged with OVI and open container. She was released to a sober person.
