New NYS Drivers' Licenses Being Issued

Drivers in the Empire State will be getting new licenses. Cayuga County Clerk Sue Dwyer tells Finger Lakes News Radio drivers under a certain age will be getting a license that looks pretty different.

Dwyer says the next time you renew your license, you'll get the updated version. Meanwhile, veterans of American wars' past and present who drive will be able to get something to distinguish their military service beginning Wednesday--a special marking that says Veteran. Military veterans interested in the sticker for their license would have to bring their military discharge papers to the DMV as proof.
