"Diana" Movie Poster Removed From Paris Crash Site

A controversially-placed movie poster has been removed from a location near the scene of the Paris car crash that killed Princess Diana.  French distributors for the Naomi Watts-starring biopic "Diana" confirmed Tuesday that the poster had been removed after they were flooded with requests for its removal Monday.  The poster is one of hundreds that were displayed all over Paris in anticipation for the film's release in France this week.  

Distributor La Pacte called it an "unfortunate coincidence" that the poster was placed near the traffic tunnel where the car carrying Diana and her boyfriend Dodi Al Fayed crashed in 1997.  Before its removal, the poster was positioned just a few feet away from the tunnel's entrance where the gold-leafed Flame of Liberty statue sits as an unofficial memorial for the late Princess.
