8th grade Raiders defeat Bellefontaine - Jr. High and youth football finals

A few area youth football teams played Tuesday night.

The Benjamin Logan 8th grade team beat Bellefontaine 20-8.

Cole Waugh sparked the defense with five sacks.

Derek Coy had two touchdowns, Bryden Penhorwood scored a TD, and Presten Cozad added a two-point conversion.

The Raiders offensive line anchored their attack.

Benjamin Logan will visit Urbana next week.

The Bellefontaine 7th grade team defeated Benjamin Logan 12-6.

Major Stratton and Jack Clement each scored a touchdown.

Quincy Hassell led the defense with two interceptions, including a pick in the final 30 seconds to seal the win.

The Chiefs will visit Indian Lake next Tuesday at 5:30.

The Indian Lake 8th grade team edged Graham 22-18.

The Lakers improve to 3-2 on the season.

YMCA Flag Football:

Team 1 outscored Team 3 40-12.

Gage Pope had a 70-yard TD run and caught two 70-yard touchdown passes from Alex Caudill.

Collin Powell dashed 70 yards for a touchdown, Matt Mott scampered 50 yards for a score, and Isreal Sutherin had a 10-yard TD run.

Riley Neer had a two-point conversion on a pass from Carston Spriggs.

Caleb Sutherin, Harper Scott, and Camden Spriggs led the defense.
