Several local volleyball teams were in action Tuesday.

The Bellefontaine varsity team beat visiting Benjamin Logan in four sets: 21-25, 25-23, 25-23, and 25-19.

Kenzie Brunswick had 19 kills, 18 digs, and 2 solo blocks, Kameren Haley recorded 14 kills and 16 digs, Jazmyn Haley tallied 6 kills and 18 digs, Jordan Lininger delivered 43 assists and 10 digs, Amanda Case tallied 20 digs, and Carley Strzalka added 8 digs.

Strzalka and Jazmyn Haley were perfect serving.

For Benjamin Logan, Taylor Quay had 17 kills, Alex Thompson recorded 16 kills and 6 blocks, and Katie Bisel added 5 kills and 3 blocks.

The JV Raiders improved to 14-2 on the season by beating Bellefontaine 25-16, 26-24.

Autumn Walborn had 6 kills and 2 blocks. Bri Frazier added 4 kills and 12 assists.

For the Chiefs, Taylor Hodge had 12 digs and Emma Smith was 12-for-12 serving with an ace.

Benjamin Logan won the freshman match 25-17, 25-19.

Coreen Crosby had 11 kills and Ashley Wilkins added 4 kills. Ashley Armstrong had a strong match with 4 points, 2 aces, and was perfect on serve receive.

Bellefontaine will visit Tecumseh Wednesday.

Benjamin Logan will play at Graham Thursday in a tripleheader beginning at 4:30.

The Indian Lake varsity fell at Tecumseh in four sets: 15-25, 16-25, 26-24, and 18-25.

Brooke Defibaugh had a team-high 11 kills and 21 digs. Allison Knief recorded 4 blocks.

The JV Lakers lost in three sets: 25-16, 22-25, and 9-25.

Kalin Harper had 4 kills and 7 digs.

The Indian Lake 8th grade defeated Kenton in 2 sets: 26-24 and 25-23.

Jade Lewis recorded 4 aces, 2 digs, and 1 kill, Jenni Kaffenbarger totaled 3 aces and 3 kills, and Abigail Broseke added 1 ace and 1 dig.

The Indian Lake 7th grade beat Kenton in 2 sets: 25-21 and 25-20.

The team combined for 16 aces and 8 kills.

The 7th grade Lakers start tournament play at home Wednesday.
