Update: Family to Hold Vigil for David Harker, Police Call off Search for Wednesday

As the search continues for 28 year old David G. Harker his family is continuing the outreach to the public via Facebook. The Facebook page Help Find David Harker now has more than 16,500 followers and the family is using this resource to cultivate leads, inspire people to join the search and today they're using it to invite the community to a candlelight vigil for David Harker at 8 Pm at Lincoln Park, not far from Mr. Harker's home. Yesterday the search for David Harker centered on a ravine in the area of 16th Avenue and 1st Street but thus far this search has turned up no new information. Searchers later regrouped at 20 Sports Bar and Grill in Moline, where David was last seen, and began fanning out in all directions. Police have called off the search for Wednesday and will instead focus on security camera footage from downtown Moline businesses, footage they hope will have a clue to the direction David Harker took as he left 20 Sports Bar and Grill on the early morning of September 29th.
