Blackhawks Down Caps On Opening Night; 'Hawks Raise Banner Prior To Opener

Johnny Oduya broke a 4-all tie with under seven minutes left in the third to send the Blackhawks to a 6-4 win over the Capitals at United Center. Brandon Saad had a goal and two assists while Brent Seabrook, Patrick Kane and Brandon Bollig also scored for the 'Hawks. The 'Hawks are back on the ice Saturday against the Tampa Bay Lightning.

The Blackhawks raised their Stanley Cup championship banner to the rafters last night at United Center prior to starting the season. Former 'Hawk and Chicago native Eddie Olczyk was the MC for last night's ceremony. Chicago is looking to become the first team to repeat as champions since the Detroit Red Wings in 1997 and 1998.
