The installation of the new water well controls along with the closure of an alley in the future topped the discussion last night for village officials in Creston.
The new water well controls are scheduled to be installed today. The project cost the village $12,500 as some of the controls were installed in the 1980's.
Phase 2 of the safe route to school project is scheduled to be completed in 2014. The sidewalk work will be done on Main and Transit Streets in Creston.
The board talked about a proposal to close the alley next to Headon Fine Meats. They want to put in a new freezer in the future
Village officials plan to talk more on the alley project during the November meeting.
Following an executive session, Curtis Loyd Jr. was named the new maintenamce man for the village. He will work 20 hours a week in the part-time position.
