Blackhawks win opener

Johnny Oduya  broke a 4-all tie with under seven minutes left in the third to send the Blackhawks to a 6-4 win over the Capitals at United Center in Chicago. Brandon Saad had a goal and two assists while Brent Seabrook, Patrick Kane and Brandon Bollig also scored for the 'Hawks. Corey Crawford made 28 saves for Chicago, which raised its Stanley Cup championship banner prior to the game. Mikhail Grabovski had a hat trick and assist in his debut for Washington. Alex Ovechkin  also lit the lamp and added a helper for the Caps while Braden Holtby stopped 29 shots in defeat.
