Car Overturns in Phelps Fender Bender

On 10/01/13 at or about 5:00 PM Ontario County Sheriff Deputies investigated a three vehicle motor vehicle accident that occurred in front of 1326 State Route 96 in the Town of Phelps. Melissa S. Brucker was stopped waiting to turn into her driveway when Maryrose Cook, who was traveling behind her, rear ended her. This caused Maryrose's vehicle to overturn. Amy J. Brown who was traveling west bound also struck Melissa's vehicle as it was pushed across her lane. Maryrose was transported by Phelps Ambulance to Geneva General Hospital for further treatment as she complained of chest pain. There was also a fourteen year old female in Amy's vehicle. All parties were wearing their seatbelts at the time of the accident. Maryrose was issued a citation for following too closely and will answer that in Phelps Town Court on a later date. Phelps Fire Department and Clifton Springs Police Department both responded and assisted.
