Mattoon Man Arrested on Battery and Domestic Battery Charges

Mattoon Police arrested 57-year-old Leroy A. Lineberry, of Mattoon, early Wednesday Morning at 1:09 am. The arrest occurred in the 300 block of North Division Street. Lineberry was charged with Battery and Domestic Battery. The charges allege that he struck another man with a lawn chair and that he battered a female and shut her leg in a car door. No serious injuries were reported. Lineberry was taken to the Coles County Jail.
