The Stark County Citizens' Mental Health Task Force, Petersen
Healthcare, Center for the Prevention of Abuse - Senior Services Program,
and the Stark County Health Department are once again
sponsoring the Stark County Senior Expo on Saturday, October 5th from 8:00am-10:00am in the Community Room at Courtyard Estates, Bradford.
In order to promote the importance of senior health and wellness, the
Senior Expo will be offering some health screenings "Free-of-Charge"
including non-fasting blood sugar tests, and colocare test kits. In addition, flu and pneumonia shots will be available to Senior Expo participants.
Flu & pneumonia shots may be
administered at no-charge for those with Medicare Part-B and some insurance
coverage. You must bring your card to the event. Those not covered by
Medicare may obtain the flu shot at a cost of $22 and the pneumonia shot at a cost of $70.
In addition, 19 area senior service providers and vendors will have
displays open to participants.
A Free Continental Breakfast will be available to participants and other giveaways and door prizes will also be a part of the event.
