Extended government shutdown could impact county services

The government shutdown is not having an impact on local government services right now, but County Executive Greg Edwards says the longer the shutdown drags on, the greater the risk. He says it's business as usual for now.

Edwards says the county's human services could feel some impact the longer the shutdown continues. He hopes that once the "political dust" settles, leaders in Washington can reach an understanding and federal services can be restored.
