Two Arrested After Being Found with Unpaid Merchandise

The defendants were arrested and charged with Petit Larceny following a shoplifting complaint from Tilly's at Eastview Mall. They were found to have concealed $117.97 worth of merchandise on their persons and in a back pack. Ms. Shumway was further charged with Criminal Possession Stolen Property 5th, Possession of Burglar's Tools and Criminal Mischief after she was found to possess stolen merchandise from Forever 21 valued at $15.80 and Charlotte Russe valued at $61.50. The stolen merchandise found in Ms. Shumway's possession had been damaged by improper sensor removal.The defendants were issued appearance tickets and are scheduled to appear in Victor Town Court at a later date to answer the charges. They were released to the custody of their respective parents.
