Leo Frigo Bridge Pilings Corroded And Buckled

Pilings that support Pier 22 of the Leo Frigo Bridge in Green Bay corroded and buckled causing the bridge to sag last week, according to the Department of Transportation. The DOT held another briefing on the bridge this morning, revealing that three neighboring piers are also showing signs of corrosion.

They say the bridge is NOT in danger of collapse.

Experts say part of the problem may be the soil that was used as fill around the piers, so they are taking soil samples.
