Democrat Congressman Bill Enyart of Belleville is joining other colleagues in the House to decry what he calls attempts to play politics with our nation's Veterans, caught in the middle of the government shutdown. On Wednesday, the House Majority attempted to pass a stand-alone funding cut of over $6 billion to the Department of Veterans Affairs.
Enyart called it a "phony bill that was a complete slap in the face to Veterans who need care."
