Coach Dino Babers & Assistant Coach Mike Lynch Discuss Bye Week and Austin Peay on Coach Dino Babers Show

The Coach Dino Babers Show was broadcast live at Brickhouse Bar & Grill on Thursday night. Host Mike Bradd and Coach Babers talked about the Panthers win over Eastern Kentucky last weekend. The final score of that game was 42-7. The Panthers are not playing this weekend, because of their bye week this week. Babers discussed with Bradd about the importance of the bye week, when it comes to health. The Panthers football team does have some players injured, but because of this week, some may be cleared to play before the game against Austin Peay next Thursday.

Following Coach Babers was Assistant Coach Mike Lynch, who is the recruiting coordinator and in charge of the running backs. Lynch pointed out the advantage of the bye week is the opportunity to go out and recruit some football players he has his eye on.

The EIU Panthers Football team will play next Thursday when they travel to Clarksville, Tennessee and take on the Austin Peay Governors. EIU is currently 4-1 overall, 2-0 in OVC play. The Governors are 0-4 overall, but will play Eastern Kentucky in their first conference game this weekend. Kickoff is scheduled at 7. The game can be heard on the Panther Football Radio Network. The Pre-Game show will start at 6:30.

Because the game is next Thursday, there will be no Coach Dino Babers Show.
